Story Notes

Always remember this: punk rock valued authenticity above all else. This can be leveraged by the cult. Connection and authenticity. There is also a strong DIY tendency.

This is step 1 of cult initiation: the detection of pliable people at the concerts and feeling the connection of the Water element through the music. This is done through a special riff meant to draw out those who are ready for the cult's teachings. One of the members is a Troubadour (maybe not the lead- I don't know, think on this) and the right hand of the First Servant. See Confession- Clarissa is eventually on both sides of the recruitment scheme. Also, place some of Hilam's men here in places of honor but not control. They know the cult, but the two groups stay at arms length. This will explain how they are approached about the tralaticon later.

Remember there is a lot of overlap with the next chapter as well. If you do not get everything in during the first week, don't sweat it. Even consider a 2 month cycle on this one, doubling all the time increments but keeping the schedule the same.

Does Holy Smoke fit into this chapter or the next one? I think this one. That is how she gets selected for the private show and it is right after her fight with Pali, making her vulnerable.

Play: Marat/Sade by Peter Weiss
