Rylan is the only character who does not change. He pushes forward stubbornly and for his pains suffers a fate worse than death. This story is emotional more than physical (combat oriented). Many of the battles will be discussed in other places. This is about Rylan failing to deal with the changes in the world and also hold his team together under Davoust's iron hand. Originally, I had him as Water dominant. Now I believe he should be Earth dominant.
The name Rylan is of English origin and is often considered a modern variation of the name Ryan. It typically means "land where rye is grown." Rylan conveys a sense of strength and earthiness.
