Ergon Peoples Background

Warrior (Fighter Archetype): Warriors are the defenders of their semi-nomadic tribes. While they do coordinate in small groups during Incursions into Conduit Cities, they are far more individual fighters due to differing cultural goals and fighting styles influenced by their powerful Elixirs. It is believed among the Ergon Peoples that some of them are able to become possessed by the spirits of comrades who fought by their side in previous lives, multiplying their combat prowess for a short time. The Conduit City folk dismiss such tales, but their own doctrine recommends that even elite Grey Cloaks give ground in the face of a Warrior in such a state.

Scout (Rogue Archetype): These are the runners and far ranging sentries of their tribes. It is a rare Stalker of the Conduit Cities that can best them on their home turf. These men and women roam far from home, searching for threats or their tribe's next living site. This work is not forced on them, and most feel called to it for the long periods spent alone in the wild. Scouts develop an affinity for certain animals and learn their ways, eventually gaining uncanny abilities that cause even Shamans to look askance at them.

Shaman (Shaper Archetype): Shamans are the spiritual leaders of their tribes and perform many functions including as healers, diviners, and ritual elders. Through spirit guides and training with their tralaticon focuses, they are able to briefly touch the elemental planes and draw energy into themselves for use. There is always a cost to direct interaction with the planes, however, and excess elemental energy bleeds into even the most practiced Shaman, unbalancing them and requiring cleansing rituals whenever they manifest their abilities. Shamans claim that the elements appear to them as masses and liken themselves to potters. Their bodies act as a spinning wheel and kiln for the elemental clay before sending the energy out into the world.
