Rogues are the wild cards, the colorful characters who tell the best stories and sometimes even true ones. These individuals run the gamut of professions from hired killers to pool sharks to lone wanderers of the wilds. Every party needs someone like this: the one who knows how to slip out of a situation when brawn and raw element power won't cut it.
Scoundrel (Conduit Cities): Scoundrels are the slippery rascals haunting every major urban sprawl. They usually aren't bad guys or gals, but they know things change fast on the streets and you can't rely on the authorities to arrive in time to save you. Always keep an eye over your shoulder and choose your friends wisely.
Scout (Ergon Peoples): These are the runners and far ranging sentries of their tribes. It is a rare Stalker of the Conduit Cities that can best them on their home turf. These men and women roam far from home, searching for threats or their tribe's next living site. This work is not forced on them, and most feel called to it for the long periods spent alone in the wild. Scouts develop an affinity for certain animals and learn their ways, eventually gaining uncanny abilities that cause even Shamans to look askance at them.
Specialist (Unaligned): "Specialist" is a polite term used by polite people. Specialists are individuals brought in to do a job. Payment usually includes three line items: the job, forgetting that there ever was a job, and disappearing. They live on the edges of society, maintaining just enough of a connection to be contacted for work, but not enough to be found by any competent authority. Most are loners constantly on the move, but a few have managed to live double lives or hide in plain sight amongst the common folk of the world.
